Hormonal Health & Menopause Care

We can also evaluate menopausal symptoms in selected cancer survivors when appropriate and coordinate care with oncology or other specialists when needed.

No. Scheduling or paying for a consultation does not guarantee a prescription. Prescription medications are provided only after an appropriate clinical evaluation and when your provider determines that treatment is medically appropriate.

Not everyone requires the same laboratory testing before starting hormone therapy. Testing is individualized based on your symptoms, medical history, current medications, age, risk factors, and clinical findings.

As part of Mareva Care's comprehensive approach to optimizing metabolic health, laboratory testing may also be ordered to evaluate relevant metabolic and preventive health markers. Additional laboratory or diagnostic testing may be recommended when clinically indicated.

Testosterone therapy may be considered for appropriately selected patients when clinically indicated. Treatment requires an individualized assessment, discussion of potential benefits and risks, appropriate monitoring, and compliance with applicable prescribing requirements.

Cancer survivorship requires individualized evaluation. Your cancer type, hormone sensitivity, previous treatments, current medications, surgical history, and recommendations from your oncology team are important considerations. Hormonal therapy is not appropriate for every cancer survivor. Nonhormonal treatment options and coordination with your oncology team may be recommended.

Yes. Bone health is an important part of midlife and menopausal care. Depending on your age and risk factors, we may discuss calcium and vitamin D intake, resistance and weight-bearing exercise, fracture risk, and whether additional evaluation such as a DEXA bone density scan is appropriate.
Medical Weight Management

Yes. Obesity is a complex chronic disease influenced by multiple factors, including genetics, epigenetics, hormones, environmental influences, sleep, medications, behavior, appetite regulation, and metabolic adaptation. Successful treatment often requires more than simply reducing calories.

Your evaluation may include your weight history, previous weight-loss attempts, nutrition and physical activity patterns, sleep, medications, medical conditions, body measurements, metabolic risk factors, laboratory testing, and personal goals.
Your individualized treatment plan may combine nutrition, physical activity, behavioral strategies, medical therapy when clinically appropriate, and ongoing monitoring.

These medications may be considered when clinically appropriate based on your medical history, current health, contraindications, treatment goals, and applicable prescribing criteria. Medication is not appropriate for everyone, and a specific medication or prescription is never guaranteed.

Weight loss varies between individuals and depends on factors such as starting weight, medical conditions, treatment selected, medication response, nutrition, physical activity, adherence, and metabolic adaptation.

Clinically meaningful, sustained weight loss can improve blood sugar, blood pressure, lipid levels, mobility, sleep apnea, liver health, and other obesity-related conditions. It can also reduce the risk of developing certain obesity-related chronic diseases. Individual benefits vary according to your health and the amount of weight lost.

Contact Mareva Care through the patient portal if you develop side effects or have concerns about your treatment. Your provider may recommend monitoring, dietary modifications, a dose adjustment, additional evaluation, or a change in therapy depending on your symptoms.
